This offer is for the quantity and size of laser-cut circles/disks of 3M 300LSE double-linered* and double-coated** adhesive transfer tape (or "double-sides adhesive," in layman's terms) specified by you in the Options field, above. We laser-cut the disks out of sheets of 3M product 9474LE, which is based on 3M's popular 300LSE adhesive.

We also offer an option for custom laser-cut basic shapes (select option "Custom shapes"). If you order that option, please specify in a separate message to us (customerservice@soles2dance.com) what shape and what size you want. We will then laser-cut as many of these shapes as will fit onto one sheet of size 8.5" x 11.5". The cost of the sheet is included in the price. We process and ship all custom orders within 2 business days from the time of the order. If you need more complex shapes or you need several different shapes, contact us first for a quote for laser-cutting these shapes for you.

As an additional improvement, we put a shallow "peel-off groove" on all our laser-cut shapes (see product photo above). This feature makes it easy to separate the first liner by slightly folding the piece along the groove and then grabbing one of the two semi-circular halves of the unprinted liner with your fingers. Indeed, the peel-off groove is the only way to assure that you are not touching the adhesive with your fingers when trying to peel of the first liner. This may not mean much to you if you are new to working with 300LSE, but once you try working with and without the peel-off groove you will see the tremendous benefit of the groove.

3M 300LSE adhesive bonds extremely well with metal, wood, plastics, (even Acrylic and other so-called "low surface energy" plastics that don't bond well with other glues), hard leather, suede, fabrics, rubber, and, beware, your fingers. As illustrated in Fig. 2, there are two adhesive layers, 2.8 mils and 3.4 mils thick, and between them is a thin polyester carrier 0.5 mils thick. With this design the product is suitable not only for smooth surfaces but also for lightly textured and/or lightly porous surfaces. The third illustration above is a comparison chart published by 3M that shows how the 300LSE adhesive compares to other 3M double-sided adhesives with regard to adhesion to different materials. As is apparent from that comparison table 3M's 300LSE adhesive is the strongest and most versatile adhesive commercially available. For example, a very narrow sliver of 3M 300LSE adhesive is used to bond the screen of the iTouch 4th Gen iPod Touch to the body of the device. This adhesive is strong!

  • One page choke-full of detailed instructions. We wrote this page specifically for this product and it is aimed at less experienced users. Even if you could find a similar product elsewhere (and you won't), the instructions will help prevent you from ruining disks and will reduce your learning curve from hours to the five minutes it takes to read the instructions.

The actual dimensions of our laser-cut circles may differ by 0.01" from the nominal sizes.

Notes:

* "double-linered" means that the product is provided with liners (protective foils) on the front and back. This is different from products fabricated in the form of rolls: those have only one liner and are thus not suitable for marketing in sheet-format.

** "double-coated" means that there are two layers of adhesive, stabilized by a thin polyester carrier between them. The adhesive layers on both sides of the carrier adhere very strongly to that polyester carrier, giving the combination of adhesive-carrier-adhesive the characteristics of a single solid but flexible layer. Without the carrier, a single layer of adhesive has the characteristics of a very viscous fluid, somewhat similar to those of honey.

Not only are the 3m stickers working nicely but the orders are shipped out next day if not same day and keeps you well informed after the purchase which gives peace of mind and that is wonderful.
