These super-low-friction (SULOFRI) high-tech stick-on soles can be attached to the existing soles of most dance shoes, street shoes, and exercise shoes*, to optimize the shoes' friction characteristics for dancing. The SULOFRI kit allows dancers to pivot with ease on extremely high-friction dance floors such as concrete and asphalt. SULOFRI can also be configured for dancing on extremely sticky indoor floors, by using optional, separately purchased suede disk components (explained below).

The SULOFRI kit uses super-low-friction components made of a space-age material and offers much less resistance to pivoting and linear sliding than our standard low-friction products. It is also the only product that works real well on concrete and asphalt. Indeed, on those difficult surfaces pivoting is just as easy as it is with suede soles on well-maintained wood floors. However, the super-low-friction material is soft and wears out very quickly on those abrasive surfaces. For example, active dancers can wear out their super-low-friction components in as little as 6 hours of dancing on rough concrete (actual wear rate depends strongly on surface, dance style, and the dancer's weight).

Dancing on concrete and asphalt, outdoors
SULOFRI is primarily intended for dancing on concrete or asphalt outdoors and it is shipped configured for these types of surfaces. SULOFRI should not be used on any smooth indoor floors in this configuration since it is extremely slippery. Use SULOFRI only on concrete or asphalt!

Dancing on extremely sticky or very high-friction indoor floors
An alternative use for the SULOFRI product is on extremely sticky or extremely high-friction indoor dance floors. In order to use SULOFRI on these types of indoor floors, you must purchase the optionally available small SULOFRI-SD suede disks (see category LOW-FRICTION ACCESSORIES). Users can insert these optional suede disks by cutting out the perforated small disk from the center of the large SULOFRI disk. Cutting is easy, even after the SULOFRI disks are attached to shoes, since the small disks are perforated and held in place only by 8 narrow connectors, somewhat visible in the product photos above. When configured with the small SULOFRI-SD disks, use this product only on extremely sticky smooth dance floors and never on concrete or asphalt, as those abrasive surfaces with literally shred the small suede disks. Also, remember that even in this configuration, the product is too slippery on dance floors that are only moderately sticky. For moderately sticky dance floors, our LOFRI-04 product is a better match.

All components of this kit are backed by industrial-strength, dual-sided adhesive and they are ready to be affixed to shoes (see instructions under SUPPORT > How to affix).

What's included:
There are eight main components in this kit:

2x super-low friction side patches (use these as replacements if your toe patches wear out, or attach them next to the large disks, on shoes that are much wider than the large disks).
Superglue Gel - use per instructions, especially for non-flat soles or soles with a curvature. Also useful for minor repairs, if needed.

* Notes:
In order to use this product on running shoes or most other fitness shoes, all of which usually have aggressive (i.e., knobby) sole profiles, we strongly recommend purchasing our PERM Permanent Conversion Kit in addition to the SULOFRI kit. The PERM kit includes thin but smooth "base-soles" that users glue (with the included ultra-strong Superglue gel) permanently to the soles of their shoes, thereby providing an optimal surface, to which the SULOFRI product will securely adhere to.

Dire Warning: This product is intended to substantially reduce friction of dance shoes on rough outdoor floors like concrete and asphalt. Walking or dancing on smooth and clean tile, wood, or other hard floors while wearing this product dramatically increases the risk of slipping and falling. Walking on wet or slippery floors when wearing this product can be almost as hazardous as walking on ice with regular shoes.

I tried the SULOFRI soles yesterday at a 4th of July festival. The music pavilion has a large concrete dance floor; what a difference from last year!! Pivoting and spins on the concrete surface were executed with ease. I used the super low friction small disk. I also added a crescent shape patch to the outside of each sole. The combo WORKED BEAUTIFULLY! I am extremely pleased to have access to these well designed soles. This dancer is very happy... so are my knees!

Great soles for summer festivals	July 2, 2012

I gotta admit, at first I was skeptical about these soles because they have such detailed instructions and I don't care to read all that. But then I bought them anyway. Withthe tryout deal they have it is less than ten bucks.
When I got the soles I found that it was actually real easy to stick them on my flats and there are quickstart instructions that take just a minute to read. Then I went out on the cement walkway and tried turning. The soles worked great, it's real easy to turn without the soles being too slippery. That was with the black circle in the middle of the sole.
Then I got to try the soles at the summer festival downtown where the dancing was on the street and on a sidewalk. First I danced with the black circles in the middle of the soles and that was ok. Then I pried the black circles out and stuck the white ones in. That worked even better, I almost forgot I was dancing on the street!
I'll buy another pair of these soles for my hubby, before the next festival.
